 Washboard
Willy has thimbles on his gloves, bells and whistles on his
rhythm board and a home-made cart carrying all sorts of
sound makers for children who are invited to join him.
Washboard Willy (aka Larry Hiskett) provides a
free-spirited, upbeat, participatory jam session. Hiskett
enjoys passing around hand-held rhythm instruments for
children to use to participate. “I give kids permission to
have fun”, says Hiskett. “With me , it’s ‘Hey! Jump in and
join the show, because you are the show”! Hiskett’s wife,
Donnis is part of his act. She pulls out cow bells, rhythm
sticks and trash can lids to the delight of children who
love jamming with Washboard Willy. Fairgoers of all ages
will be entertained by his upbeat act.
