Mitchell’s new full 20-song album, This Is The Heavy, released on September 16. The album contains his recdent #1 single “Truth About You.”
Mitchell made chart history with his #1 single “Truth About You.” The gold-selling song’s top of the chart success is the shortest span between #1 songs in the modern chart era with just three weeks since his last chart topper. On August 22, Tenpenny’s co-penned collaboration with labelmate Chris Young, “At The End Of A Bar,” reached #1.
Mitchell wrote “Truth About You” and performed it for has fans first on Tik Tok last summer. Within 3 days the fans streamed it 2.5 million times and within a week the number doubled. With this tremendous reaction the label pushed the song out to country radio in August 2021.
Mitchell is touring with Luke Bryan’s “Raised Up Right Tour” out through November 5. Mitchell also has select headline dates of his own.
Mitchell will launch the “This Is The Heavy Tour” in January 2023. The Nashville native will play two Ryman dates Feb 3 & 4. It was a bucket list item to headline the Ryman, which he did on 10-10-21 and sold it out!
