Big Rodeo Fun for the Littlest Cowboys and Cowgirls
One of the cutest and most crowd-pleasing traditions of the Twin Falls County Fair is Mutton Bustin’ — where young riders hold on tight and take their shot at rodeo glory!
Our Mutton Bustin’ Qualifier takes place during the Junior Rodeo on Wednesday night of the Fair. Over 60+ young contestants give it their all, and from there, we take the top 30 rides and times to advance to the big stage!
During each Magic Valley Stampede PRCA Rodeo performance, ten of those top young riders compete right in the main arena, thrilling the crowd between events. Each night’s group of 10 goes head-to-head, and the top two riders of the night take home trophies for their amazing rides.
Entries for Mutton Bustin’ must be completed in person at the Fair Office, and spots fill quickly — so be sure to sign up early!
From big cheers to big smiles, Mutton Bustin’ proves that you’re never too young to chase the rodeo dream.
